Our expertise lies particularly in guiding clients through the intricacies of Medicare enrollment, including Medicare Supplements (Medigap) and Medicare Advantage (Part C) plans.
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Credentialing Specialist to support our new insurance agents in getting contracted with insurance carriers, maintaining accurate CRM records, and tracking the “Ready to Sell” reports. The specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring that agents are fully prepared to begin selling and have access to the resources and tools they need for success. This individual will collaborate closely with insurance carriers, internal teams, and agents to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding experience.
Key Responsibilities
Carrier Contracting:
- Manage the process of contracting new insurance agents with insurance carriers, including completing necessary paperwork, submitting applications, and following up with carriers to ensure timely approval.
- Ensure that all required documents, licenses, and certifications are submitted and meet the carrier’s guidelines for agent contracting.
- Serve as the main point of contact for new agents regarding contracting questions or issues, providing timely resolutions and guidance.
CRM Management:
- Update and maintain the company’s CRM system with accurate information about new agents, including their contracting status, licenses, and other relevant details.
- Ensure that all agent data is accurately inputted and updated, keeping records current to support agent onboarding and operational reporting.
- Regularly audit CRM entries for data integrity and completeness, working with the team to resolve discrepancies.
Tracking “Ready to Sell” Reports:
- Monitor the progress of new agents in the contracting process to track when they are ready to start selling.
- Generate and maintain “Ready to Sell” reports to provide updates on the status of agent readiness, ensuring all required steps are completed (e.g., carrier approval, certifications, training).
- Work with agents and internal teams to ensure that all sales qualifications are met, including ensuring agents have the correct product certifications, licenses, and tools.
Process Improvement & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with all industry regulations and company policies during the contracting and onboarding process.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline the onboarding, contracting, and CRM updating processes.
- Work closely with other teams to ensure the timely and accurate processing of agent data and contracting documents.
Communication & Support:
- Provide ongoing support to new insurance agents during the onboarding process, addressing questions and resolving issues related to contracting, CRM access, and sales readiness.
- Communicate regularly with insurance carriers, agents, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of tasks and timely completion of required steps.
Reporting & Documentation:
- Prepare and submit regular reports to management regarding the status of new agent contracts, readiness, and CRM updates.
- Track key performance metrics to monitor the effectiveness of the onboarding process and identify areas for improvement.
Qualifications
Experience:
- Previous experience in the Medicare and Health insurance industry, in an onboarding, contracting, role.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience
- Familiarity with insurance carrier contracting processes is required.
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Agency Bloc, Go High Level) and data management.
- Candidates must be bilingual in Spanish and English.
Skills:
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to maintain accurate records and data.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with agents, carriers, and internal teams.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to resolving issues that may arise during the onboarding process.
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; college degree preferred.
- Insurance licenses or certifications (e.g., Life & Health) are beneficial but not required.
