Position Overview
We are seeking a strategic Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to lead our HR function and contribute to the continued growth and success of Alpha. As a key member of the executive team, the Chief Human Resource Office will be responsible for developing and executing human resource strategy in support of the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization, specifically in the areas of talent acquisition, succession planning, talent management, change management, organizational and performance management, training and development, and compensation.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and implement HR efforts that effectively communicate and support the company’s mission and strategic vision.
- Develop HR plans and strategies to support the achievement of the overall business operations objectives.
- Function as a strategic business advisor to the executive/senior management of each business unit or specialty group regarding key organizational and management issues.
- Work with the company’s executive management team to establish a sound plan of management succession that corresponds to the strategy and objectives of the company.
- Develop comprehensive strategic recruiting and retention plans to meet the human capital needs of strategic goals.
- Develop and implement comprehensive compensation and benefits plans that are competitive and cost-effective.
- Provide overall leadership and guidance to the HR function by overseeing talent acquisition, career development, succession planning, retention, training, leadership development, compensation and benefits globally.
- Analyze the effectiveness of HR procedures and tools, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
- Ensure that all HR initiatives are aligned with Alpha Excavation’s mission, values, and business objectives.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong background in talent management, organizational development, and HR strategy.
- Experience working with small and growing companies, with an appreciation for the challenges and opportunities that come with a dynamic, and fast-growing environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong supervisory and leadership skills.
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Knowledge of and experience with varied human resource information systems.
- A person who embodies our company culture, shares our values, and is passionate about contributing to our mission.
Work authorization/security clearance requirements
- Authorized or able to provide required documents to work in United States.
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, reach, stoop, kneel, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision requirements due to computer work.
