Position Summary:

The President is responsible for leading, growing, and optimizing KCS. This role oversees all aspects of operations, financial performance, project delivery, sales, and strategic planning, with full P&L responsibility across both units. Reporting directly to the COO, the President plays a critical role in market expansion, talent development, and driving innovation to position KCS as an industry leader in both concrete and full-scope construction solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities, partnerships, and revenue streams.
  • Align divisional goals with overall corporate strategy and financial targets.
  • Build relationships with key stakeholders including developers, owners, architects, and industry partners.
  • Ensure the successful execution of construction projects with a focus on schedule, quality, and budget.
  • Drive efficiency, innovation, and accountability across project management teams.
  • Promote continuous improvement through process optimization and technology adoption.
  • Maintain full P&L ownership of both divisions, ensuring revenue growth and operational profitability.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial oversight in partnership with the CFO and COO.
  • Develop and monitor KPIs to track performance, profitability, and project success.
  • Drive cost control initiatives and margin optimization strategies.
  • Lead strategic business development efforts to secure commercial contracts across both verticals.
  • Oversee client engagement and ensure long-term relationship management and retention.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams to build brand awareness and market visibility.
  • Build and lead a high-performing leadership team across operations, finance, and sales.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
  • Identify, attract, and retain top talent while supporting leadership development and succession planning.
  • Ensure all projects comply with OSHA standards and all applicable regulations.
  • Lead efforts to mitigate risk and ensure legal, financial, and operational compliance.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and uphold KCS’s reputation for quality and integrity.

Key Qualifications & Experience

  • 15+ years of experience in commercial construction, concrete, or general contracting.
  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role (President, EVP, VP, or GM) with full P&L accountability.
  • Demonstrated success in scaling operations, leading teams, and driving profitability.
  • Expertise in both concrete and vertical construction methods and operations.
  • Strong financial acumen with hands-on experience in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to win and deliver large-scale construction contracts.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
