Full Stack Developer Intern

E Com Seating is a proud, family-owned business that has been manufacturing high-quality office chairs for healthcare environments for three generations. Based in the heart of Tennessee, we specialize in designing ergonomic seating solutions for dentists, doctors, and medical offices across the country. Our company culture is built on teamwork, reliability, and a commitment to excellence—and we’re looking for a dedicated Warehouse Associate to join our growing team!

We’re looking for a Full Stack Developer Intern to join our growing team and contribute to building and maintaining modern web applications. You’ll work closely with a senior developer and learn how to ship production-ready code across the entire stack. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to level up their development skills in a real-world, collaborative environment. You’ll be working on React + TypeScript (frontend), PHP + Node (backend), PostgreSQL (database) and deploying to Heroku, all within a GitLab + Docker workflow using AWS-S3 for storage. Our applications also use Expo for building a mobile-first web app, and we follow Agile development practices.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain features using React, TypeScript, and PHP
• Write backend logic and APIs with PHP and PostgreSQL
• Integrate and manage file storage using AWS-S3
• Collaborate with the team using GitLab, participate in code reviews, and follow branching strategies
• Deploy and monitor apps using Heroku
• Learn and contribute to Agile workflows including standups, sprint planning, and retrospectives
• Utilize UI frameworks like MUI.
• Ask questions, get feedback, and learn by doing; mistakes are part of the process!

What We’re Looking For

You don’t need to know everything, but you should come ready to learn and be comfortable asking for help. We’re looking for someone who:

• Has some experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, and React
• Understands basic HTML/CSS, REST APIs, and frontend/backend interactions
• Can write simple programs and understand code logic
• Is familiar with GitLab
• Wants to grow in a full stack environment and isn’t afraid of new tools
• Communicates clearly and isn’t afraid to say “I don’t know”
• Is comfortable learning on the job with mentorship

Bonus (Nice to Have, Not Required)

• Exposure to PostgreSQL, PHP, Docker, or AWS-S3
• Familiarity with mobile-first app development.
• Experience working on projects in a team setting (personal, academic, or professional)
