Job Summary
The Senior Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of all project managers and project engineers across multiple projects within the company. This role involves ensuring that all projects are executed on time, within budget, and in compliance with company policies, safety standards, and client expectations. The Senior Project Manager will provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the project management team while maintaining strategic oversight and ensuring the successful completion of projects from inception to closeout.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and manage all project managers and project engineers.
- Ensure the successful execution of multiple projects by providing guidance, direction, and problem-solving expertise.
- Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of construction projects. Ensure projects are completed according to specifications, budget, and within the scheduled timeframe.
- Collaborate with project managers to allocate resources effectively, ensuring manpower, materials, and equipment are optimized to meet project demands.
- Oversee project budgets, ensuring cost control and tracking of expenditures. Approve projectrelated expenses, and ensure that financial goals are met while maintaining high-quality standards.
- Maintain regular communication with clients, stakeholders, and the senior leadership team to provide project updates, address issues, and ensure client satisfaction.
- Act as a point of escalation for project managers and project engineers to resolve conflicts, address concerns, and find solutions to any project-related issues.
- Track project progress against established milestones, timelines, and budgets. Ensure that all project goals are met and adjust strategies as necessary to keep projects on track.
- Ensure that all projects are completed in compliance with industry standards, client requirements, and safety protocols. Monitor quality control efforts and conduct inspections when necessary.
- Identify potential risks across projects and implement strategies to mitigate them. Ensure that all health and safety regulations are adhered to, minimizing the risk of incidents on site.
- Provide leadership, training, and development opportunities to project managers and engineers. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the team.
- Prepare and review project documentation, including progress reports, schedule updates, and budget forecasts. Provide regular updates to senior management on project status and performance.
- Identify areas for improvement in project management processes and implement best practices to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the project management team.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification is a plus.
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in project management within the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing project managers and engineers.
Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a proven track record of managing large teams across multiple projects.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Expertise in project scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- In-depth understanding of construction processes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to resolve conflicts and manage complex project issues effectively.
- Strategic mindset with the ability to anticipate challenges and proactively address them.
Certifications
PMP or equivalent project management certifications are a plus.
